Using Icc Profiles on Mac OS 9.x

We no longer store profiles in Mac OS 9 format on our web site. The demand is too limited to support an operating system that is nearly a decade out of date.

To install the profiles on your system, you can either drop the profile on your System Folder and it will automatically be installed in the ColorSync folder, or you can open the System Folder and manually place the profiles in the ColorSync Profiles folder. If you copy a profile to Systems Folder/ColorSync Profiles, and Photoshop is not able to locate it, you need to set the type and creator tags for the profile file. The Type/Creator needs to be PROF/SYNC. These tags can be set using the standard Mac Colorsync Extras utilities or by using this AppleScript code (with notes on using AppleScript in OS9).
